Ghulam on film

Google tells me that "Ghulam" translates to "slave", or maybe "slave solider" which is a really weird thing to call your basic line troopers, but I guess they're going for this historical reference.

Being called "slave" has to be terrible for moral.

Ghulam infantry are the basic Haqqislam forces, the guys that tend to act as support and order-generators for the more elite units.  That's not to say they can be ignored, every unit in Infinity is potentially deadly, and Ghulam have pretty reasonable stats for their points cost.  Plus, that guy with the knife? Totally Solid Snake.

 Snake? SNAAAAKE!

That particular model was also the inspiration for my conversion of Stabby Mc Stabberton, though the "official" McStabberton is a much better sculpt.  For some reason I had a hell of a time painting these, and like the Naffatun they still need a bit of touching up.

 DAT ASS

These guys have a lot more grey on them than most of my other figures.  I thought that they needed visual representation of their armor, but thought that orange should be reserved for harder surfaces like the Ragiks' carapace.
You either get cut, get stuffed or get shot.

The answer was to make their vests the same grey as the Ragiks' under-suit, which linked them visually while also suggesting the reason why the Ghulam have only 1 point of armor to the drop-troops' 2.

CAUTION: Road Works

Unfortunately, just before this picture was taken, the arms on the right-hand-side figure fell off after a small fall (you can see them separating in the larger image).  This leads to the most important thing I learned from these two miniatures.

ALWAYS PIN INFINITY FIGURES. PIN ALL THE ARMS. ALL THE TIME. 420 PIN EVERY DAY.
